Douglas fir posts with a head size of approx. 150×150 mm and larger are mainly used for the wooden constructions of, among other things, verandas, roofs, garden houses and sheds. These Douglas posts are finely sawn, giving them a rough surface.

Description

Our Douglas fir beams 150mm x 150mm dimensions are often used to attach all timber claddings like Western red Cedar, Douglas Fir cladding, European Oak cladding & all other timber claddings.

Douglas wood has a naturally pink/yellow color and ages beautifully. The beautiful ‘flame’ in the wood is also preserved during and after aging.

The beams are finely sawn, which creates a rough structure that really shows off the robust appearance of the Douglas fir.

Our rough Douglas fir beams are freshly sawn, which means that there is a chance of moisture and resin escaping and effect of the wood in the first months.

Douglas Fir will turn grey in colour over time due to weather influences. Do you want to keep the original color ? Then treat the beams with  Osmo – Clear UV Protection Oil or Textrol oil.

Our delivery times are Mon – Fri: 8am – 5pm excluding weekends and bank holidays.

We deliver material from our fleet of transport, we also use external haulage companies.
