TROPICAL HARDWOOD
The Tropical forests of West and Central Africa produce a wide range of hardwoods from Cedrela to Utile, all suitable for cabinet making, boat building to construction work and decorative veneers. Malaysia is the world’s 5th largest producer of tropical hardwoods, among its many indigenous species, include Dark Red Meranti, Seraya, Keruing and Yellow Balau.
All of our hardwoods are sourced from Tropical West and Central Africa, species include Iroko/Sapele/Utile/Obeche & Idigbo. IDIAGBO
Colour – Yellow to light brown with a straight grain, medium to coarse texture.
Use – Furniture and high-class joinery both internally and externally. Suitable for flooring & mouldings.

IROKO
Colour – Varies from light yellow to golden brown and the texture is coarse with an interlocked grain. Hard-wearing timber which is resistant to decay.
Use – Joinery and Kitchen industry – Boatbuilding and marine work.

Colour – Pale straw to nearly white in colour, fine even texture with interlocked grain.

AMERICAN HARDWOOD
The American hardwood industry dates back to the first European settlers and today claims to have more temperate hardwood species than any other region of the world. From the heavily forested Eastern States to the Appalachian mountain range, its hardwood forests support a wide variety of commerical species.

ASH
Colour – Colour Pale cream to greyish brown in colour, straight grained with a coarse but even texture.
Use – Use All types of sports equipment and striking handles. Increasingly used for joinery, furniture, shopfitting and panelling.

CHERRY
Colour – Ranges from rich pinkish red/brown, very fine grain and smooth texture.

AMERICAN MAPLE
