Description
Massaranduba is renowned for its ability to last many decades even in extreme weather conditions. Density and hardness, as discussed above, plays a large role in that. Natural resistance to water penetration and rot/decay also contributes to its longevity. The forests, from which they evolved, experience 100-400 inches of rain per year.

Massaranduba decking board Hardwood 21mm x 145mm grooved/smooth
This is a unique and very high quality hardwood decking of 21mm thickness. Install these 21mm thick decking boards on the non-slip grooved side or possibly the smooth side, you can choose from short lengths 2.15m to approximately 4.9 meters. Request a sample of this decking board which is virtually knot-free, very straight and the planks have a minimal color difference between them. The ends are also waxed against tearing, in short, top quality.
Installation of Massaranduba decking boards 21mm
Make sure that the 42 x 90mm hardwood sub-beams are installed at 400 centers to prevent sagging, and that there is a space of at least 10 mm between the planks (these hardwood planks expand in damp / cold weather) and sufficient ventilation and 15 cm of sand under your decking. Always stay 25mm from walls and use our super strong and stainless steel 5x50mm decking screws of the highest quality. . To lay these planks on a roof terrace, we may have thinner beams of 65mm x 35 mm and for decking (for example on the water) thicker beams of 50x145mm. You can also use the slightly thinner 35mmx65mm beams for a decking sub frame.
